Netflix Stranger Things “One Last Ride”

DJ Tessa at Netflix x CicLAvia: One Last Ride — A Final Celebration for Stranger Things

On November 23, Melrose Avenue transformed into Hawkins, Indiana as Netflix partnered with CicLAvia to host “Stranger Things 5: One Last Ride” — a massive, open-streets celebration honoring the final season. The four-mile stretch became a retro playground full of cosplay, photo ops, immersive world-building, and thousands of fans walking, biking, and skating through the final chapter of the Stranger Things universe.

I had the honor of DJing it - bringing a soundtrack that blended nostalgic ’80s energy with a modern, alternative edge. It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and I'm so grateful to Dorothy Creative, CicLAvia, Netflix and the Stranger Things team for including me in this iconic celebration.

Sharing the Stage With DJ/MC Will Gill

A huge highlight of the day was sharing the stage with DJ/MC Will Gill, who brought non-stop energy, hosting the cosplay competition, trivia segments, fan games, and crowd interactions. Working alongside an MC of his caliber created an elevated entertainment experience — the kind of polished DJ/MC format that adds structure, excitement, and momentum to large-scale events.

My Set: Indie, Alternative, Mashups & 80s Energy

To match the Stranger Things vibe, my set blended retro textures with contemporary edge:

• Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams” x Sean Paul “Temperature” (mashup)

• Madonna “Holiday” x Dua Lipa “Don’t Start Now” (mashup)

• Turnstile – “I Care”

• Olivia Rodrigo – “Bad Idea Right?”

• TV on the Radio – “Wolf Like Me”

• The Smiths – “This Charming Man”

A mix of 80s, current hits, indie rock, indie dance, and alternative kept the crowd energized from morning through the final ride.
